Steve Cody, founder and CEO of The Better Software Company (TBSC), details the ways in which both federal and provincial government agencies and NGOs have benefited his growing company. Four Companies Make the Grade out of 190 Qualified Applicants OTTAWA, ON – Four B2B SaaS and cloud software startups have been chosen to join L-SPARK’s second Accelerator program that begins this month. Following an application process that attracted startups from the Waterloo, Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa areas, 11 companies were selected to participate in a Pitchfest held at the end of September.
The L-SPARK Team will be on the East Coast for the first time visiting startups from the Propel ICT portfolio at their Alumni Summit from November 6-7th, 2015. Book some time to meet with our Director, Marco Janeczek while he is in town!
The L-SPARK Team can’t wait to visit with the Waterloo tech community on November 5-6th at Communitech as a part of the Incubator #SaaSRoadshow. Keep an eye out for L-SPARK Director, Bob Huggins, who will be at the Startup Open House after party on November 5th to chat with the local startup community.

OTTAWA, ON – September 18, 2015 – Canada’s leading Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Incubator and Accelerator, L-SPARK, presented the ‘Best in SaaS’ at the graduation of their inaugural 2015 cohorts. Founders of the two companies from the nine-month Accelerator program and six companies from the four-month Incubator program presented their achievements to a jam-packed audience of more than 350 mentors, advisors, investors and corporate partners at Canada’s premiere SaaS Showcase.
There have been a few questions about the L-SPARK business model, so I would like to take the time to review first the model our team has come up with.
Our last leg on the 2015 #SaaSRoadshow will be with our friends at FounderFuel in Montreal! The team is arriving in MTL on August 26th and can’t wait to visit the Founder Institute alumni at La Gare for a lunch-n-learn at 12:00pm followed by one on one office hours with our Director of Entrepreneurs, Marco Janeczek, from 1:00pm-5:00pm.
